...and found some forgotten projects that will be fun to finish up.
i finally finished what everyone is doing.
shifting sands scarf by grumperina:
what a great pattern grumperina has...love all the cables and the way the scarf lays so nice and flat so that all the details are there to see. i used a yarn picked up at (once again!) the studio a couple of years ago.
serendipity by knitability. it's 50% silk and 50% wool. although you can't see it in the photo, the yarn is very golden hued. i've never seen the yarn since and have actually googled it but didn't really come up with anything.
also: as of this morning there were 383 shifting sands projects on ravelry. i guess that would make mine no.384 since i haven't actually posted it... WOW! popular scarf.
and from the bottom of wip bag, this poor thing was resurrected to be finished:
it's "nell" from debbie bliss' junior knits. it's just a super simple raglan-sleeve in stockinette stitch. good tv sweater. speaking of which, i've started watching all the miss marple/agatha christie dvd's that our local library has in stock. she's pretty cute, if you like that kind of thing: very british, very old and very curious. oh, and she solves murders, too.
will hope to post some more 'almost finished' projects soon!
